Squid might be finished one day, but today is not that day.
A while back I decided I wanted to get better at Figma, so a friend of mine told me about this daily UI challenge that I could use to give myself an excuse to play around with and perfect the software. I started small, creating a little home screen with a graphic of some squids in a squad, not thinking it would lead to much, and then it eventually became this Finance tracking app between friends.
The Prompts are pretty straightforward, but I quickly realized I needed an audience if my pages were going to make any sense at all. You know, should my calculator have a cosine button? Or would tax and tip calculators make more sense? I'm typically more of an "I'll buy coffee this time, you buy snacks next time" person, but I have friends who like to split bills down the middle every time, so I decided to make these pages with them in mind.
I also wanted to track my progress, so I kept my earlier versions of these pages.
